Pogo “Bangarang”
Check out this remix of audio/visual of Hook! This creation from Pogo provides great insight to what I’m drawing next for Peter & Wendy (in addition to an episode of Fresh Prince, a Cap-Sac, a snow cone, and a hoverboard).
Also, I was recently able to visit Peter in Kensington! We hung out so much, but now I’m playing catch up. More from Neverland soon.
Peter Pan: Lost Boys Character Sketch
Here’s a peek at what some of the Lost Boys will look like. They’re definitely sporting a 90s style and reckless teen vibe. I’ve also decided to introduce Rufio and will likely draw some skateboarding hoodlums.
Never Never Land!
Peter has flown ahead and left the gang behind, but ole Captain Hook is keeping a close watch from the crows nest! For this scene I attempted to implement more texture and experimented by scanning in more layers. I feel like I work better with flat colors, but I gave it a shot. Unlike these all stars on PBR, I’ve yet to figure these things out. Anywho, get ready to be blown out of the water with Sam Bosma’s next piece!
Peter Pan: Never Going to Grow Up!
Hello friends! I regretfully write that I was unable to create a new illustration that continues the story, however I did whip up this print! It’s available as an archival Giclée on Society6.
Stay tuned for greatness from Sam Bosma!

Book: Peter Pan and Wendy (purchase on Amazon)
As I’m reading through J.M. Barrie’s story of Peter Pan I’m quickly liking Peter less and less. I must admit, it’s a shame that I’m more familiar with Disney’s adaptations of this adventure seeking boy. However, I understand why changes were made…Peter might as well be throwing rocks and giving these kids wedgies as they’re blindly “following the leader” to make believe land.
With that said, my interpretation of Peter is light hearted and currently leading the children on an adventure like a boy scout on the trail to summer camp. He’s got some charm in his knobby knees while soaring under Marc Bolan’s bebop moon. Try not to fall asleep while flying, catch ya in Neverland doods!
Check back tomorrow for the amazing Sam Bosma and his wonderful vision of The Hobbit!

The infamous Pan enters the nursery and the adventure begins!
First off, it’s incredibly hard to post after the amazingly talented Meg Hunt. As I mentioned in my introduction this is a challenge for me and I’m giving it my best shot. I hope you are mildly entertained by my ridiculous interpretation of Peter Pan. Thanks for looking!
(You can see some other character sketches here).
Will Bryant v. Peter Pan & Wendy
- Who are you and what do you do?
Will Bryant makes stuff as a freelance creative. He’s a member of Public School, an Austin based collective comprised of designers, illustrators, and photographers. “Mr. Fancy Pants” has had the privilege to work with clients such as Nike, Stussy, Graniph and Kraft Foods. When he’s not drawing, blogging, or smiling he’s probably laughing with his young bride.
- Why did you pick the story you chose?
Well, I couldn’t come up with anything and I asked my good friend Kate Bingaman Burt. She quickly suggested Peter Pan and it made total sense! I LOVE Peter Pan (mostly referring to Hook, a film that shaped my childhood). So with a sense of nostalgia and an infatuation of the 90s I selected the wonderful story by J.M. Barrie. I’m planning on adding my own twist to it, because I know I cannot do the originals justice. This whole project will be very challenging for me and I’m honored to be included.
Will is one of the most charming people I know and I for one cannot wait til February 9th to see his first piece for this!
In the meantime, won’t you check out his portfolio, and maybe Public School’s website?
One more ‘challenger’ to round out the day’s announcements, in about five minutes!
